Write the Vision – It Shall Surely Come
Habakkuk 2:2–3 (NKJV)
“Then the Lord answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.’”

A Vision That Comes from God
In the book of Habakkuk, we see a powerful exchange between the prophet and the Lord. Habakkuk was seeking understanding during uncertain times. God’s response was not confusion, but clarity. He instructed him to write the vision and make it plain.
When God gives a vision, it is not meant to be hidden, complicated, or misunderstood. It must be clear enough that anyone who reads it can move with purpose. Vision brings direction. Vision fuels faith. Vision inspires action.
Make It Plain
God emphasized clarity: “Make it plain on tablets.”
This reminds us that what God speaks over our lives, families, ministries, and church must be written, remembered, and declared. When the vision is clear:
- It strengthens faith.
- It removes doubt.
- It allows others to run with it.
- It unites people toward a common purpose.
As a church, we are reminded that God’s plans for New Beginnings Bible Church are not random. They are intentional, written, and divinely appointed.
An Appointed Time
Verse 3 reminds us of something many believers struggle with — timing.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time…”
God operates on divine timing. Sometimes the vision may seem delayed. The promise may appear distant. Prayers may seem unanswered. But delay does not mean denial.
The Word says:
“Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.”
If God has spoken it, it will come to pass.
Waiting with Expectation
Waiting is not passive. Waiting is active faith. It is trusting that God is working behind the scenes even when we cannot see it. The vision will speak at the right time. It will not lie. It will not fail.
As a church and as individuals, we are called to:
- Trust the process.
- Stay faithful.
- Keep believing.
- Continue running with the vision.
Beyond Imagination
God’s vision for our lives is often bigger than we can comprehend. It stretches us. It challenges us. It requires faith. But it is always good.
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think.
What God has spoken over New Beginnings Bible Church is beyond imagination — and it shall surely come to pass.
Let us write the vision.
Let us make it plain.
Let us run with it.
And let us wait in faith — knowing that what God has promised will surely come.
